It was bound to happen. My partner has been studying Japanese Tea Ceremony for years, I love tinkering with sounds, and we practice in the same space.
Here is a snippet of the third experiment adding live electronics to her tea making process. The first and second experiments were terrible, too much uncontrolled feedback, but this one is starting to get somewhere although there is still a lot of do to.
The sound is going through an envelope follower and is driving both a sequencer and a spectral re-synthesizer, the results are processed with delays and filters and blended with the original sounds. I particularly like how the filter is almost changing the water sound around 55 seconds into something lithic.
This is a new section. I hope to keep adding little audiovisual experiments but knowing myself the pace will always be very slow.
